Champions League | Goalscorer Rickie Lambert hails improved Liverpool display
Rickie Lambert was devastated by the late Equalization of the Ludogorets but believes Liverpool have silenced their critics.
Simon Mignolet error gifted the hosts quickly head by Dani Abola, but Lambert Champions League first goal equalised it before Jordan Henderson put Liverpool ahead eight minutes before the break.
Liverpool spent the last 10 minutes on the back foot and Georgi Terziev finally he leveled with two minutes to do, but the Reds know victory against Basel in their final group game will see through.
"This meant many [mark]," said Lambert. "It was my first start in the Champions League and it was great to get off the mark and let us back in the game.
Men of Brendan Rodgers was humiliated 3-1 at Crystal Palace on Sunday and the Reds boss has come under fire from their recent performances.
Despite a late draw in Bulgaria to expedition goal, Lambert believes that their overall display was much better and feels confident in their clash with Stoke Saturday.
"I thought that the performance was much better, it was essentially," he added. "We are devastated on the goal at the end, but it is still a good result.
