Malky Mackay appointment | Premier Range to end sponsorship of Wigan shirts

One of the authors of Wigan shirt have announced they are sever their relations with the club due to the appointment of Malky Mackay as Manager.

The Championship club announced the appointment of Mackay Wednesday, despite the fact that the FA investigation is underway in the text of messages sent during his stay at Cardiff Manager.

Messages allegedly contain racist, sexist and contained homophobic and group of anti-racism Kick It Out condemned Wigan decision to hire Mackay before the investigation is complete.

The sponsorship agreement began in summer, but the premier range statement read: it is with great sadness that we must announce that we break our links with Wigan Athletic FC. ''

"Football is very close to our hearts here at www.premierrange.co.uk and we ourselves have always involved with local teams in one way or another.

"We had a great race with Burnley FC and were delighted when they were promoted this season.

"We thought that it was natural to move on another local team with Wigan and we decided to sponsor their shirts.

"Unfortunately, their recent appointment of Malky Mackay has put us in an untenable position, we find.

"Mr. Mackay is currently under investigation by the FA to send text messages which are in contradiction with the General ethics at the Range first.

"Mr. Mackay admitted to sending texts are quite unacceptable - and the thoughts expressed in their breast are a shocking reminder of a past that we thought that football had left behind."

"A team that employs a man expressing views as this is not the kind of team range Prime Minister wish to deal with.

The FA issued a statement saying that their investigation into the conduct of Mackay is still ongoing and they they "fully appreciate the need to act quickly on this issue.
