Scottish Premiership | Celtic captain Scott Brown signs new contract which runs until 2018

Celtic announced Captain Scott Brown has signed a new contract with the Scottish champions.
The 29-year-old is committed to Celtic until the summer of 2018 after words participating on a contract extension.


Brown made his hoops debut against Kilmarnock in August 2007 after the signing of Hibernian and Ronny Deila Manager, is looking for his fourth consecutive title of the Premiership this season.

"It is an absolute privilege to extend my contract with Celtic, a club of brilliant football and with these incredible supporters. It is a place that I call home, "said the Scotland midfielder.

"Being Celtic captain is a great honor and it is a role that I cherish dearly.

"The team is in a great place now and we are just behind the head and team backroom that they build for the future.
"I will do everything I can with the manager and all players of the Club to deliver the success that deserve our supporters."
