Scottish Premiership: Celtic winger Aleksandar Tonev must wait for appeal verdict
Celtic winger Aleksandar Tonev maybe wait another two weeks to find out if his appeal against a seven-match ban has been successful.
Bulgarian's 24 years was the suspension by the Scottish Football Association after that he was found guilty of using "offensive, insulting and abusive of a racist nature language" towards the defender of Aberdeen Shay Logan.
The incident occurred during the Scottish Premiership match at home to Celtic against donations on 13 September.
Man on the loan-Aston Villa, who made his debut for the hoops in this match, has always proclaimed his innocence, but his appeal, it now was said not perhaps be set only a fortnight.
Tonev arrived at Hampden at 18:00 Thursday but was taken away from underground tunnel to stage national three hours later, after the SFA Panel adjourned the meeting.
An SFA statement read: "an appellate court convened this evening to hear an appeal against the decision of the disciplinary tribunal judicial taken Thursday, October 30, 2014, compared with Aleksandar Tonev (Celtic FC)."
"The tribunal, after hearing the presentations, will adjourn for consideration before reaching their determination in the course of the next two weeks."
Since the appeal, Tonev is free to play for Celtic pending the outcome of the hearing.
