Premier League: Jose Mourinho says Didier Drogba will be offered a role at Chelsea when he retires
Jose Mourinho revealed that veteran striker of Chelsea Didier Drogba will be offered a role with the club when he retired from playing.
Drogba, who was voted the most popular player ever by fans of Chelsea in 2012, scored Wednesday emphatic 3-0 on Tottenham.
The 36 years enjoys a second successful spell at the club since returning from a spell with Turkish side Galatasaray.
Mourinho wanted to praise the Ivorian for the impact that he had on the team since his return and has said there will be a role for Drogba to Chelsea after his retirement.
"It's remarkable," said Mourinho. "I was expecting exactly that." The important thing is that he is here and he will finish his career at Chelsea.
"It looks like, for me, it will stay to do other things when he finished his career.
"It will be his decision when he decides to quit as a player. This will be something personal. »
Most famous moment of Chelsea's Drogba came when he grabbed a dramatic late Equalizer against Bayern Munich in League of Champions 2012 final before scoring the winning penalty after extra time.
Drogba has scored 157 goals in 341 matches in her first appearance with Chelsea between 2004 and 2012 the club won 10 trophies and he added another five goals this season.
Meanwhile, Mourinho expects Gary Cahill go well after the defender was withdrawn at half-time after a clash of heads in the first half against Tottenham.
