Chairman of Wigan Dave Whelan has caused more controversy with the remarks he made in an interview with the Jewish Telegraph.
The 78-year-old could face fresh sanctions after that that he was quoted using an offensive word to describe his local Chinese restaurant in the interview, in which he apologized for offending the Jewish community.
Whelan has been given until December 12 to respond to a charge of misconduct of football on previous remarks, he made people Jewish and Chinese in an interview with the newspaper where he was trying to defend the appointment of Malky Mackay as the new manager of the club.
MacKay himself also is being investigated by the FA into allegedly racist text messages he sent during his stay in Cardiff. The two men deny being racist.

The FA said it is now looking for the latest comments by Mr. Whelan.

These new comments have already been sentenced by the Chinese project British - an organization that gives a voice to the Chinese community in the United Kingdom.

Meanwhile, Wigan have warned supporters not to use racist, sexist or homophobic language when the Championship Saturday game against Norwich.

A Latics release issued Friday afternoon, warned that anyone caught swearing or using discriminatory language to the DW Stadium on Saturday could be ejected and may be further punished.

«Wigan Athletic remind supporters that it is forbidden to swear or use homophobic, sexist, or racist language "the read statement.

"The club has a zero on this tolerance and any supporter found be using inappropriate language may be ejected from the game, with more sanctions are available depending on the severity of the case."

The club said that anyone witness to behaviour of this kind must report in confidence to the line of text in the DW Stadium incident report.
